What ever you fear defines you

The idea that whatever you fear defines you touches something true about human nature: our deepest fears often reveal what we ultimately trust or distrust to secure our lives. If you fear scarcity above all else, money quietly becomes your god. If you fear irrelevance, other people's opinions begin to rule you. Scripture repeatedly redirects fear towards its proper object. Proverbs 9:10 says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, not because God delights in terrifying people, but because a right reverence for him puts every lesser fear into perspective. When God is rightly feared and trusted, other fears lose their grip. This is not about pretending fear does not exist, but about recognising where our fears point and allowing a bigger, steadier reality to reorder them.
