In a world that measures your worth by success, popularity, or failure, Tim Tebow offers a different perspective. He often reminds people that your value doesn't come from what you've achieved, or from the mistakes you've made. It comes from the fact that you were created in the image of God. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus looked beyond people's past and saw their God-given worth. He didn't see Zacchaeus as just a dishonest tax collector. He saw a man worth knowing, worth loving, and worth redeeming. The same is true for us. Your past doesn't define your identity.
Questions to sit with
- Where have you been letting achievements or failures decide your worth?
- If Jesus sees you the way He saw Zacchaeus, what would change about how you see yourself?
- What would it look like today to live from your God-given identity rather than for it?
