For years, atheist philosopher and podcaster Alex O'Connor (Cosmic Skeptic) was known for his sharp critiques of Christianity. But in late 2025, he published a video titled "I've Realised Christianity Is More Plausible Than I Thought." In it, he acknowledged that the historical, philosophical, and intellectual case for Christianity is far more substantial than the simplistic dismissals often associated with New Atheism. This doesn't mean Alex became a Christian. It means he recognised that Christianity deserves to be taken seriously and that many of its strongest arguments can't simply be brushed aside. Whether you're a believer, a sceptic, or somewhere in between, one thing is clear: The deeper you investigate Jesus, the harder He is to ignore.
Questions to sit with
- What would it take for you to admit that Christianity is more plausible than you first thought?
- Have you ever engaged with the strongest arguments for Christianity, or only the weakest?
- If honest investigation keeps drawing sceptics closer to Jesus, what might that mean for you?
