Conversion stories involving trained scientists carry a particular kind of interest, since they combine rigorous habits of mind with a claim that ultimately exceeds what experiment alone can settle. Scripture does not present faith as anti intellectual; Paul reasoned in synagogues 'from the Scriptures' with those who would listen (Acts 17:2), treating persuasion as a legitimate part of proclaiming the gospel. A scientist moving from atheism to belief often describes the shift less as abandoning evidence and more as discovering a larger frame in which evidence makes fuller sense, whether through the elegance of physical laws, the origin of consciousness, or simply an honest reckoning with life's meaning. Such stories should be received with interest rather than triumphalism, since genuine conversion is rarely instant or tidy, however cleanly it may be summarised afterwards. What remains valuable is the reminder that intellectual rigour and Christian conviction are not opposites, whatever popular assumption sometimes suggests.
