    Reflection

Returning to a familiar platform after building something more explicitly faith-centred says something about the tension many public creators feel between reaching a broad audience and speaking plainly about belief. Impaulsive draws a large, largely secular audience, quite different from the crowd George Janko has cultivated through his own faith-focused interviews. Jesus told his followers to be salt and light, not to withdraw entirely from the world but to remain distinctly themselves within it. That balance is easier described than lived, since it requires neither watering down conviction to fit in nor retreating into a bubble where only the convinced are listening. Every believer who works, studies, or creates alongside people who do not share their faith faces some version of this same negotiation. The willingness to show up in unfamiliar rooms, rather than only comfortable ones, is itself often where quiet influence begins.

    Questions to sit with

    • Where in your own life do you feel the pull between fitting in and staying distinct?
    • What does being salt and light look like in a space that does not share your convictions?
    • How do you keep faith genuine rather than performative when moving between different audiences?
