    Reflection

Personal testimony has always held a special place in Christian life. Long before theology was written down in creeds, ordinary believers told each other stories of how their lives had been touched, changed, or rescued. The book of Acts is full of such accounts, people describing what they had seen and experienced, and those stories carried weight precisely because they were personal rather than abstract. A testimony is not a claim to have all the answers. It is simply one person's honest account of where they have come from and what they believe has changed in them. Scripture encourages this kind of sharing: the psalmist writes, come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul (Psalm 66:16). Testimonies can be messy, unfinished, and still genuinely honest, which is often what makes them so relatable. They remind us that faith is lived out in real circumstances, and that someone else's story might gently illuminate something in our own.
