Stories of people leaving Islam for Christianity are rarely simple, and they are almost never only about ideas. Faith in many Muslim families is woven into identity, belonging and honour, so a change of belief can feel to relatives like a rejection of the family itself. That is why conversion often costs far more than a change of opinion. When one family member takes that step first, it frequently changes the atmosphere for everyone else. Some relatives react with anger, others quietly begin asking their own questions. The New Testament is honest that following Jesus can divide households (Matthew 10:35 to 36), yet it also speaks of whole families being drawn in over time (Acts 16:31 to 34). For anyone watching a relative change, the Christian counsel is patience rather than pressure: relationships kept open, questions answered honestly, and prayer sustained over years rather than weeks.
