Do you think all denominations go to heaven?

Reflection
Do all denominations go to heaven? It is one of the most common questions people ask about Christianity, and the Bible's answer is simpler, and more searching, than we might expect. Nowhere does Scripture suggest that heaven belongs to a particular denomination, tradition or church label. When Jesus was asked about the way to God, he did not point to an institution. He said, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). That cuts both ways. It means no denomination can claim heaven as its own possession, and it means no one is kept out simply because of the name above their church door. What matters, according to Jesus, is not which branch of the church you sit in but whether you have come to the Father through him. There is one body and one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:4-5). Denominations are human arrangements, some helpful, some less so, but salvation has always been about a person, not a label. That is both a comfort and a challenge. A comfort, because it means the question is not have I joined the right church but do I know Jesus. A challenge, because it removes every excuse of belonging to the right group. The invitation of the gospel is personal: whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).
Questions to sit with
- Have you ever assumed that belonging to the right church or tradition was what mattered most?
- If Jesus is the way rather than any denomination, what would it look like to come to the Father through him?
- Does this answer comfort you or challenge you more, and why?
