Stories of miraculous encounters preceding conversion are common across many testimonies, and they deserve to be received with both openness and humility, since God's ways of drawing people are not limited to arguments alone. A family's shared decision to embrace Christianity together carries its own particular weight, given the relational cost that can accompany such a change within some communities. Scripture records dreams and visions playing a role in guiding people at pivotal moments, as when Joseph was warned in a dream to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt (Matthew 2:13), a reminder that God has worked through unexpected means throughout the biblical story. Christians hearing such testimonies should resist turning them into a spectacle and instead honour the courage such a family decision often requires. Miraculous encounters, however they occur, ultimately point toward the person of Christ rather than being valuable in themselves.
