Y Shadey - Do It With Jesus Remix ft J6TEN, Nikela, Isosa, Suavo, Selah G4G

Reflection

Collaboration is a fitting shape for a song about doing life with Jesus, since it takes several distinct voices and asks them to move in the same direction. The phrase 'do it with Jesus' is simple but carries real theological weight: the Christian life is never meant to be a solo performance done for God's approval, but a partnership. Jesus himself put it plainly: 'apart from me you can do nothing' (John 15:5). That is not a discouraging word but a liberating one, because it removes the pressure to achieve holiness or purpose entirely under our own strength. A track bringing together several artists to explore this theme mirrors something true about the church as well, that faith grows best in community rather than isolation. Whatever specific struggles or celebrations the song addresses, its central idea, that everything is better and more possible when done alongside Christ, is worth carrying beyond the music itself into the ordinary decisions of a week.

Questions to sit with

• What areas of your life do you tend to handle without inviting God in?
• How has doing something 'with' others, rather than alone, changed the outcome for you?
• What would it mean practically to invite Jesus into a specific task this week?
